I love living in San Francisco. On the way downtown to my Safeway store, I saw this altered street sign. I live in the Excelsior District of San Francisco, where the streets are named for foreign cities and countries, like France, Italy, Brazil, etc. and London, Paris, Lisbon, etc. When I was at the intersection of Russia and Mission, a creative person altered the sign to see what you see in the photo. The "no war" covered the numbered address and "Russia" was covered by "Ukraine" -- and of course, there's also the Stop Sign, indicating "stop the war in Ukraine." How uplifting was that?
The dictator Putin really thinks he's going to get away with this atrocity. I am hopeful that his "generals" will do a coup of their own, take him out (yes I mean assassinate the son of a bitch). Then declare the war over! This whole exercise is so ridiculous that it's not even funny.
As you've noticed, I don't post to this blog much any more but this whole situation cannot go by with me saying something. It's past time for the world to do something. I love the fact that the online hacker group "Anonymous" has been hacking the Russian media, showing the Russian people what's really going on with this war. I know at the bottom of my heart that the Russian people do not support what Putin is doing. We can only pray for the correct outcome.
