My First Entry into my New Blog
My original blog was done as therapy after my partner of 30+ years passed away from ALS (aka Lou Gehrig's Disease). I've decided to start a new blog, mostly to just express my opinion on current events and what's happening in my life. Here goes...
Five years after Dennis died, I met a new man "totally out of the blue" as the old saying goes. I answered his Craigslist ad looking for a roommate to share his apartment. I had lost my house that Dennis and I had owned and because of the relatively low cost, I decided to take a chance. That chance turned into a fated romance. My partner, Dennis Healy, died Christmas Eve 2010; his partner, Daniel Healy Connelly, died on Christmas Eve 2009. Because of the "Healy" connection, we both truly felt that they had conspired from "the other side" to make sure we met, fell in love, and hopefully live the rest of our lives together. All of that has happened. We had a three year courtship, married in July 2018 and plan on being together until "death do us part." Martin Aguilar is a wonderful man; a very emotional Latino man. At times, I feel like we are Lucy and Ricky (a lot of you will recognize that reference), and guess which one is Lucy?
Now that the preliminary information is out of the way, I'm going to go into current events. I have been and always will be a Democrat, liberal in any way you want to imagine that to be. The past few years have been fraught with wondering what would happen to us due to the administration current finishing out his one and only term. I will never utter #45's name in this blog. I cannot stand the man, a total stain on our country. I could not be happier with the outcome of the election. As far as I am concerned, VP Pence should implement Amendment 25 and get this jerk out of office before he does any more damage.
Just the fact that over 74 million people supposedly voted for this clown begs me to ask the question: since he keeps stating the election was full of fraud, how about checking all the fraud in the "red" states. After all, he's only interested in the "fraud" in states he lost. How about checking and rechecking the votes from the states he won? If the Democrats really "cheated" and stole the election, do you really think we would have made sure that Susan Collins of Maine, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Mitch McConnell of Kentucky would get reelected? Give me a fucking break! They would have been right behind him in packing their bags. I am really hoping that Georgia elects the two Democratic candidates running for election to flip the Senate and get McConnell out of his role as leader of the Senate. The Democrats need to control the Senate too, to make sure that Biden's agenda has a chance of getting things done for the good of the country.
I could go on and on about #45 but I don't want to alienate too many possible readers at the very start of this blog. I hope you read, comment (good or bad) and enjoy my many musing that will be forthcoming.
Until the next chapter, stay safe, stay healthy and keep the faith.
I have a LOT of names for Dolt 45, like SpongeBlob GolfPants, Mango Unchained, Orange Julius Caesar, Cheet-o-Colored Ferret-Wearing Shitgibbon, TrumpleThinSkin... I could go on and on...
ReplyDeleteGood job, Rick!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading more entries!!!
PS: I loved your friend MirrorMan's suggested names for our soon-to-be ex-dictator.
PPS: I used to think he could be called I.Q.45
(But then I realized: that would be an exaggeration by ten times).
